nigel, my dad was using a powdercoater in Tucker for his Speedster rims. i will get the name from him. i think they do polishing also. if not, they may be able to refer you to someone else who dies. check with Kevin Smiff (he mentioned someone at the show that had some done) or the BK Boyz (they like things shiny).

Thanks Zen,
I had then up to the drums tonight and they line up fine except...the axle sticks out about 1/4 inch too far for the cap to go on the rear. |

Thanks Dave,
How did your front's line up. I think they will be really close. |

Having lined them up, they appear to have plenty of clearance on the drivers side.

sweet.
now if i remember correctly, there is a slight offset of the front end so you may find the front right a little different one way or the other, but it will be minor. glad things are shaping up. what is the word on the polishing?

I hear-tell you got-a-feller that's gittin-er-dun. When you spect he'll finish-em-up. I got to stop that before I get the urge to go get me a Dale Jr. bucket at the KFC. What brake set are you going with?

Well at least my car will have disc brakes on all 4 wheels...unlike the go carts
I am going with the CB Performance Roto Hubs on the rear and replacing the front rotors and pads. Everything is ordered. I hope to get the parts at the beginning and the wheels at the end of next week.....I will still have to paint them before installing. I am currently debating about painting the calipers and clear coating the polished parts of the rims. |

consider clear powder coating the wheels. really durable.

i know a psycho and then there is Tucker PowderCoating (i think that is their name). expect around $50 a rim though. may be more than you want to put into them considering what you just did. but then again, all the more reason to protect them.

Thanks,
I think I will spray some clear coat on the polished parts and then paint the spokes black. |

Just got the wheels back today. They look good, I am going to paint the spokes and leave the polished lip as is. It will look "old school" (at least I think it will) but suits the theme of the car.
