i have to agree with Wally on this one. cooling issues can be defined many ways. there are many 911 shouds that cool sufficiently. and some that have what i would consider issues. from research i have seen and from first hand expereince having run both shrouds on the same engine, the DTM will out perform most 911 systems which results in more power. just a trade-off in looks.

911 shroud
Zen what i mean is unevenly cooled pistons. I do hope jake would finish the 911 system he bought from joe. Zen in your estimation which one of the systems cool the best. I bought my engine with the fat system.

Do you have any intention to put directional veins in the shroud.+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++

i am running a DTM now and VERY happy with the results. always dead on and have only bumped 275 one time.

Zen's engine is a powerhouse to boot!
If you want looks the Carbon Fiber DTM blows the doors off a generic looking 911 arrangement!

Jake thanks for the info it's well appreciated. But i felt a little disappointed because i bought this engine 2 months ago ( 2 ltr type4) from my friend in Jamaica and it came with a fat 911 system.

don't be disappointed. it's not that it sucks...it's just not as good. you could always sell the fan assembly and the shroud and that'll pay for a DTM. that's exactly what i did. :agree:
