Decent Oil in the UK?
I would live to be able to get hold of the Brad Penn oils but no vendors here in the UK, so what oil are you guys here in the UK putting into these beloved engines of ours?
I know its a controversial subject & Ive thought about the cheap n cheerful stuff with plenty of oil changes but I would rather treat her right from the get go. All I have come up with is the Swepco 306 15/40 3.8L @ £30 a chuck Thoughts please folks.. |

I use Castrol Edge 10W/60 fully synthetic for the road and competition work (£43/4ltrs trade price). I don't use any cheap/mineral oils even in my lawn mowers and have used fully sythetic for the last 30 years with excellent results. Whilst I have heard of Brad Penn and Swepco oils they are not readily available in Europe. The classic performance oils are from the usual manufacturers such as Mobil 1 but Silkolene, Millers and Duckhams are local manufacturers that provide top quality oils.

Also take a look at Millers oils. JMR posted on a forum that he uses them and hasn't had any cam failures with them

Oils
As recommended by JMR, I have used Millers CSF semi synthetic competition oil for a couple of years now in my 2007. As its a comp oil it has all the additives that street oil doesn't and its legal in the UK for road use.
Works for me. Any Millers stockist should be able to get some for you |
