88 928 hubs with 944 S2 front brakes

I'm having trouble locating a pair of front wheel hubs to match my 89 944 S2 front brakes and disks.

I have located a hub from a 1988 928. can anyone tell me if these are the same hubs that were used on the 944. I'm expecting to do some machining anyway.

Thanks

Steve

As said in the email they, the hubs/discs/calipers, should interchange but get a second opinion before spending any cash.

928 hubs are way different to 944 hubs. 968 hubs are the same though.

Mike, my 928 knowledge is not much due to lack of interest but I do believe the hubs/discs/calipers are the same between 944 and 928. Your statement that the 944 hubs are not the same as the 928 but the 968 hubs are the same as 928 is interesting... because the 968 hubs are the same as the 944 hubs.

I guess one of us will actually have to look it up :silly:

AFAIK (brakes):

944 = 928
944 S2 = 928 S
944 Turbo (early) = 928 S4
944 Turbo (late) = 928 GTS

Superman,
I meant 968 are the same as 944. Sorry for any confusion. I am going from looking at the hubs (when stripping 928s down) and part numbers.
