Mazda stuff

Noticed that some have started using Mazda RX-7 calipers. So it got me thinking if the calipers are similar to 944 calipers enough to use with the 944 rotors, why not just use both the RX-7 calipers and rotors? Does Mazda use a similar hub style?

I emailed Lanner at VDC and asked if it might be possible to make a billet hub to use all Mazda parts. I'm hoping to get out to a yard soon and check it out. But wanted to see what you guys think, has anyone possibly thought about this before, but stopped. Whats the good word? To difficult?

Thanks
Rip
