944 trailing arms

Does anyone have information on installing a 944 rear suspension into a bug? I hear that it is almost a bolt-in swap. True or false? Anything to look for, or any specific year model to get?

i have a bunch along with Boygenius, but it is all in our heads. just haven't gotten around to the tech article. it is pretty easy...if i did it. what year and model do you have? what kind of trackwidth increase are you willing to deal with? none, 2" or 3"?

Thanks for the reply. I have a street legal sandrail so not worried about fender clearance! The person who told me about using these is into the volksrods, and he has a T4 powered one with 944 rear assembly.

Lot of info here!
