993 Brakes for T1's, T3's.

Here's another one:

993NA brakes for T1's and T3's. This kit uses modified 944 hubs and stock disk spindles. The spindles require machining to fit the caliper bracket, but the disk (304x32) and caliper (radial 4-piston Brembo) are unmodified 993 parts.

Lanner,
I found someone that sells 993 (1998) calipers and 4 disks (front new, rear 50%) for $1500CAD. No brackets. Is the price right? Is it hard and expensive to get the missing stuff to fit my T1 (ball joint 1200 1973)?
Thanks for the answers.
Louis

The price is reasonable. Look around, I'm sure you can do better. Check 'e-scam'.

Here's what you'd need to finish it off (parts wise):

Front: 87+ 944 hubs. They have to machined to fit your spindles, and you will need disk spindles (stock or CB) machined for a caliper bracket. If you have deep pockets I can machine new billet hubs.

Rear: You can use the 993 rotor/caliper with the 944 ebrake assembly. You will need the 944 (85.5 and earlier) rear backing plate/shoes/hardware. The caliper will need some small spacers to center over the rotor. The ebrake assembly will need an adaptor to hook-up to the beetle cable.

Hope it helps, and let me know if you have more questions.
