Your opinion on carbon fiber FINISH...
Just curious to see how people out there actually likethe appearance of raw carbon. When I saw raw, I'm talking about without the glossiness that you typically see when getting carbon pieces. So you can actually FEEL the fiber when you run your hands over it, not that gloss clearcoat and/or epoxy.
I was thinking when making my fenders, bumpers and other parts, not making a wax mold, but rather a lay-over so you can FEEL the texture of the 2x2 twill. Theres a Prelude running around here with the "raw" carbon custom pieces and it looks pretty sick, just wondering what everybody elses opinion is on it. http://www.superstreetonline.com/fea...ehicles/15500/ I've seen this car in person at shows and it's what I'm talking about...no clear just carbon and epoxy. It's not glossy and damn...it looks sick...and when you run your hand over it, you can feel the fibers. Just seeing everybodies opinion on this.... |
