Remmele coil overs for balljoint?

Just wondering if anyone if running this set-up? Have been looking at it for quite awhile but want to know if it's worth the investment?

Cheers.

Remmele's suspension parts are made by FK Automotive, which several people have not so good experiences with.
This is for the Superbeetle suspension, not sure if the shocks for balljoint beetles are made by FK as well.

Furthermore Remmele is really hard to get into contact with, be it by mail or phone.

I'd choose something else.

You can try tefal, a tuning company in Germany, if I'm not mistaken, they do carry coilovers for the front balljoint suspension.

Thanks guys.

I'm going over to Germany again in April, was hoping to get down to Baden Baden myself and have a look (seems like a nice town to spend a few days in) in person and hopefully a test drive of a car with the kit fitted before handing over the $$$.

Do you have a link for Tefal? I tried searching on google and came up with nothing.

I would rather purchase a complete kit that has had some track success as opposed to trying to develop something myself... Does no one know of people using Remmele's suspension parts?

It's actually Tafel.

Here's a link for you.

Tafel has complete kits as well.
AFAIK they base their suspension kits on Bilstein shocks.

Gerd Weiser has something as well.
It's not on his site (yet), but if you call him he will definitely help you.

Thanks again guys.

I can't see anything like what Remelle offers on those (to replace the torsion leaves in the front) links?
I will get in touch with Gerd Weiser and see what he has to offer.

Cheers

Aren't the Red9 Design ones without torsion bars?

Yes, Red 9 uses through rods and washers w/bearings (from what I saw) to allow the use of the ft coil-overs.

Check out Ricola's website section on the ft suspension on his Speedster.

Go here http://www.ricola.co.uk/ and click on <my car>, <speedster>, <suspension & running gear>, then <front coil over> and you can see the layout and how he installed it.

Good luck

The kit I used on my old speedster was NOT red 9, the red9 stuff looks better...

Mine was from an old speedster replica company called 'Legend Motor Cars' but they have thankfully gone bust now...
