				Black Porsche Rims

			Hello,

I really want to get some nice brakes for my beetle but I don't really like most of the porsche rims. Are there any porsche rims that are black? Thanks for any help |

Some cookie cutters came black from the factory. However, ALL porsche wheels can become black with a can of spraypaint or some powdercoat

![]() Oh, and 16" fuchs came in black also.

How hard do you think it would be to get black centercaps if I powerdercoated a set? I don't want to put a set of wheels on and have to spray paint the center caps.

If the caps are metal, then you can get them coated also. If plastic, then you're going to have to break out the krylon.

But imagine how hot a gloss black wheel with a colored porsche crest would look

Those rims are nice, I'm looking for something that has 5 or 8 spokes and has a 1-2" polished lip. I also like when the rim has 5 spokes but they are split down the middle making it like a 10 spoke rim. I'll have to keep searching. I'm still a while away from taking off the body and getting everything squared away so I've got plenty of time to look around.

If you can handle it, wht not have custom forged wheels made up? http://www.iforged.com/main.html

Any pattern, any size, any offset, any backspace. Hellz yeah!

Those are some cool rims but I don't think I could afford that much on rims. I'd rather just get a set of rims already made and have them powdercoated. That'll leave more money for what really matters....GOING FAST!!!!!!!

I saw a bug somewhere with black design 90's. Looked hot. My friend is putting these wheels on his Mk3 GTI. These are one of my favorite wheels.

I think they were about £60 a set. Porscheshop UK appears to have gone under- my local branch has closed and the web site is no more. So they are available somewhere. |

I've decided that I'm probably going to go the way of custom wheels. I saw a nice design on some 15" wheels that I think would look pretty badass as a 17X7 with a 2" lip. I'm going to check around with some places and see how much they will cost. I'll let you guys know. Thank you for all the helpful advice

i bought a set of black powder coating Ronal 5-spokes as my original plan. they are 16". still have them as "just in case" or for track days as they fit my 951 as well. i ended up with 2001 Boxster rims though for my bug...unless i change my mind again.

rims are around $50.each to coat. |

I think I may have found a set of rims that I like. They aren't porshce wheels so I'll probably just stick with my ghia disk brakes and get some similar rear discs drilled out in the honda pattern.

http://www.konigwheels.com/catalog_p...ID=1&ss_id=135 Right now my car is red and it looks like it's going to remain red for a while so I though that some all black rims would look pretty good. My rear decklid has also recently been hit so I was thinking that I could get a fiberglass decklid and have it painted black. That way the wheels and decklid would stick out putting the emphasis that this car is built(or will be at least) |

only problem about 4x100 pattern rims is that the offsets are set up for FWD cars like a civic or teg. getting much of anything with the 50mm+ offsets porsches and ACVWs need to fit decent tires generally requires stepping up to either the 5x114.3 (nissan 5 lug - used on the z cars and the skyline) or the 5x130 porshe pattern or heaven forbid a chevy or chrysler lug pattern (ford uses 5x130).

BTW with the huge popularity of the 350z the aftermarket is now flooded with all sorts of rims in the 5x114.3 pattern. |
