Both colors are really nice. I wouldnt mind either one myself. But Im a little partial to blue.

The first color is Porsche Nachtblau Metalic
The second color looks like Volkswagen Jazz Blue

Hahaha.. I don't know exactly which color of blue it is.. but an real basic one.. (it don't looks metallic ) I would use it on my bug when it is finished.. too simple color.

I' also thinking of going blue on mine bug only then metalic blue (Impreza WRX blue, Opel OPC blue). I'm still looking for an other color.. but every color seems to be used so much.. alot of silver.. .. but yeah it's a though choice

lol

You should see the difference in my cars paint in light and dark....
In the dark it looks blacker than a black thing thats been sprayed extra dark black.
In the light its a really rich, vibrant green!

LOL. is that anything like "Well, it's 11. That's one more than 10 sin't it?" or reference the black album cover discussion.

i know exactly what you mean. my Corrado had a burgandy paint (stock VW color) that did the same thing. i loved it. especially with the tan leather interior with black dash, etc.

i think the VW Jazz Blue is a great color. i have a Grabber Blue ('72 Chrysler color) bug back in the Cal-look days. slightly lighter than that. if you want a reference on it, it is somewhere on Creative Car Craft's site. i think on the wide front fender page and/or on the "bag page".

If you can't find a car that came with that color, go to the auto-body paint store and hit the books. If you find one that is close then take the book outside and look at it in the sun-light. When you think you have it ask the guy(or gal) at the store what it came on. Maybe then you can find a car that color to look at.

Better still, ask the guy/gal behind the couter to start with.
In my experience they can tell you almost exactly what the colour is!

Chrysler had a Grabber Blue, too? I know Ford did -- a friend had a Boss 429 in Grabber Blue and my dad almost got a Maverick Grabber in Grabber Blue (got Calypso Coral instead). Either way, it is very close to Jazz Blue by VW.

here is the car...

i'm pretty sure it was a Chrysler/Dodge color. seem to remember it being on the Polara's. that was 20 years ago though so i could easily be wrong. thought it was similar enough to the blue under discussion to bring up. didn't mean to hi-jack the thread.
