1972 Sunroof 1302 GermanLook Price: 9300
Please read through this writeup and look at the pictures here. I'd be glad to answer questions and provide more pictures/videos upon request. No trades.
Body: I did a full frame off resto on this car in 97-98. After that it was in daily driver mode (summers only, never winter driven). Last few years I haven't been driving it much, so I'm selling her. All the metal on the car is original (floors, fenders etc). There was some quarter panel metal put it, but the rest of the car is original steel. It's got it's fair share of bumps and scratches, so it's a 20 footer. Painted metallic silver. I shaved the outside trim, front turn signals and dash, but that's the extent of body mods. Mechanics: 1600 dual port, solid runner with dual ICT's. About 20,000 miles on rebuild. Tranny has the same mileage and shift smoothly and is very quiet. It's got custom front struts with skinny coils, uprated 7/8" front sway bar, modified mk1 gas inserts, all new bushings with extra camber adjusement. Rear suspension is lowered with kyb whites and 3/4" sway bar. Brakes are off a 2002 boxster S and are in practically new condition (318x28 front rotors, 299x24 rears, all 4 piston brembos in factory Porsche powdercoat). Wheels are 17's in 7's and 8's off a 993. Tires are 205/50 and 225/45. Has a one-off made strut bar. Electrical: Everything works except horn, I just need to add a switch to the steering wheel. Interior: Acura integra front buckets that are very comfortable on long drives. I cut down a set of stock seats to make the runners, so no chassis mods. They have lots of adjustment so they go waaay back for tall folks. Rear seat is stock in mismatched vinyl. Headliner and door panels are custom tweed blend. Has Clarion hard unit with 6 disk changer and mtx 6.5" component set. Selm 13" steering wheel. I put about $800 worth of dynamat in the car when I built it, so it's a quiet drive. Car is ready to drive anywhere. An engine upgrade would take full advantage of the suspension/brakes and make this car a monster. Car is in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. I can help with shipping internationally. I can deliver within reason to local purchaser (at additional cost). Title/ownership is clear and in my name. _________________ Please no dreamers, time wasters, tire-kickers, low ballers or Nigerian investors. All prices in Canadian dollars. |

No, decided to keep it.
I swapped the wheels to 17x7 twists last summer and put on an original Kamie. This summer she's getting a bug tranny with long legs (3.88x0.82), 100mm stubs and axles, and hopefully a big honking T4, haha...wish me luck! |

Allan, happy new year!
Hope it's not the clutch leg! Lol. Wish you a speedy recovery. As for the wheels: 7et55 front (2pcs) , 8.5et48 rear (2pcs), no rubber, great shape - no curb marks, caps included. Cheers, Lanner |

Lanner,
Sorry, but any chance you can detail the rear setup? Ie how the 225 fits under the stock fenders? So I would guess there is narrow 944 hubs on steel arms (+22mm), riding with 8 et50ish alloys (first setup) Many thanks. |

Rim purchase
So Lanner:
Are these 17's ? do you know what size tires will fit the 7" fronts ? When can they be picked - up (or better if delivery since I am limited to home and can't drive for five weeks). Give me a call when convenient for you and then we can work out a plan for pre-payment until I get the wheels. Cheers, Allan # 416.471.3508

205/50 and 225/45 is the stock tire size on those wheels. I'd stick with that size. Cheers, Lanner |

Hey Lanner, why don't you have a "build thread" on this fine German machine?

Once I get her out of winter hibernation and start on the mechanical upgrades, I'll start the build thread . Seems kinda odd to do a build thread on a car I built 15 years ago, lol: but as we all know a car is never "done". There are always tweaks to be done Lanner |

Correct. Steel arm 944 setup. The wheels were 8et70 (relatively rare winter wheel). Fit well, had to slightly trim the body mount in the fender (where single bolt attaches body to pan). I could have even got away with a 6mm spacer to avoid the trimming, as there was a little room to spare to the outside. The bump stop on the frame was trimmed slightly aswell by about 8-10mm and the forward most trailing arm to spring plate bolt is countersunk flush. I don't think a 8et55 would fit stock fenders.
