Will 18's Fit

I know that 17 s will fit with some light modifications, but what about 18's with 8 in tread?

I have tried on some 18x9 porsche boxter rims on my german looker. I have 2 inch wider than stock rears and run a 23mm narrowed IRS rear. The 18x9s fit and looked great!The rims were 52mm et and we ran them with 30mm oem porsche spacers(because of the narrowed rear) With a standard rear you would not run this. The tyres were by the way 265/40/18.
Fronts were 225/18/40/ ...et 51mm

Ahh, I would say a stock setup, maybe if I had to Id put some widened carbonfiber fenders.

18X9 ET 52 should work. You can not fit a 265 tire though. 215 is the max under stock fenders.

what does that mean, these are to big? Or will they just fit?

They are too big for the front in my opinion. Yes they will fit under the stock fenders but you can not turn the steering wheel anymore because you have to limit it otherwise you hit the trailing arms for the Balljoint beam or the spring of a Super. Then you have to space them out further which means wider fenders.

The rear should fit but you have to get a narrow tire for it. 215 will stretch onto it so you keep the tire under the fender. The rim might stick out slightly and you might have to pull out the fender as well a bit.

I'd like to throw in my two cents regarding tire size, although a little out of context in this conversation.

In the front you are limited to 205 width under stock fenders. Larger tires can potentially add to turning problems, so why bother. In the back, I have tucked 225/45-17 tires under stock fenders (7et38, stock drums on stock arms) easy. I'm lookings into purchasing some newer rims, and intend on running 235-45-17's in the back, 205/40's in the front.
