I swapped my brake lines and nipples over, I had not heard anyone else mention this, bit of a worry. Steve C

If people are mounting the calipers as described above, then really they have not got enough sense or knowledge to be messing with a brake system anyway.
One thing I do know is, if you make up a new hardline section (cross over tube) it is a pig to re-install

I had no trouble swapping mine over, I used proper brake line spanners. Steve C

the problem was I made the hardlines a bit too accuate in size
so it took me a while to get the nipples lined up & centred so I didn't cross thread them into the body
