Trans shifte rattles while driving

Hi everyone, I know that I will need a shifte bushing rebuild because while driving the shifter rattles, the trans does not jump out of gear just rattles. Also while I try to hold it quite I can feel the trany gearing vibration is this normal?

That's a hard call (for me anyway). There is always going to be some vibration felt in the handle. Everyonce in awhile in my car I will hear some rattle from the tunnel but my bushing is new, so I think it might be the bowden tube. There is no end to possible causes for rattles, and the vibration fills the car so that tracking it down can be difficult In my truck a freind and I spent an hr tracking a noise that turned out to be a bottle under the seat rocking back and forth!

You will always be able to feel the engine and gearbox vibrations through the gear lever as it;s directly connected to them.
The rattle you describe is typical of a worn out bush just below the gear lever. You may also find that there is wear on the gear linkage shaft and even with a new bush, the rattle may continue.
I would suggest using a lot if grease around there and hope that it quitens it down.
