				Red Urethane bushings

I tried to order the blue self lubricating ones.... But nooooo those are not carried anymore so they sent the red ones! Will the reds really make a squeeking racket? What lube do you all use? I know a bunch of people here have the reds, so let me hear it good or bad This is for the rear IRS control arm mounts. Thanks,

How about the black ones from Energy Suspension? They are graphite impregnated to eliminate squeaking. Here is a link to their VW aircooled stuff: http://www.energysuspension.com/volks_ac.html I don't know anyone running them, so I can't comment on how well they work. Cheers!

I don't have the urethane bushings you are talking about, but I do have a buncha urethane bushings on my VW and my other car. I don't run the lube that comes with them. I use silicon plumbers grease. You can find it in small quantities in the plumbing isle of most home improvement type stores. I greased up my sway bar mounts on my other car 3 years ago and haven't regreased them yet. They still don't squeek. It's pretty thick stuff and it doesn't wash off with water. That's what I recommend. Nick |
