Exhaust Recommendation Wanted

As the titles states, I'm looking for a recommendation on a full exhaust system for my auto-x/road racing Super. This will be a dedicated racing car so I don't need to keep the heater boxes and it can be louder

My motor is going to be stock (besides the air filter, exhaust, and some jetting). I want something that is going to make a significant power increase while still maintaining some back pressure. I would like it to exit out of the stock exhaust cutouts in the rear apron, but it's not a must.

I'm open to ideas so please speak your mind. Person experience, hear-say, or just ideas are welcome. Thanks in advance!

Just bolt on a 1 3/8" street header and a quitepack muffler. Everyone sales them, and you can get it powder-coated for good looks and it will last much longer. You can lose your heaterboxes, and get j-tubes as well. The QP muffler wont be coming from the stock cutouts, but the performance gain is worth it, you will notice a difference. You could also opt for a turbo style muffler, or the hideaway (tucks up next to the valve cover).

Troy, do they have a website where I could get more information? It looks great but I'm assuming that comes with a large price tag. It might be a bit much when coming to my application.

What size piping is optimal for my application?

From everything I have read, the A-1 is ... well, "A-1." And quite unanimously, too. I have also read that the A-1s are not cheap but at the same time, not over-priced.

Give Tiger a call. From all that I have read, he is a genuine expert.

Sorry, I don't have any first-hand experience. Didn't want your posts going unnoticed.

I'm looking for functional solutions to my Type IV specifications and desires. Since I haven't yet found the ideal solution for me yet, I continue to read and research. And hope.

Give Tiger call at (714)836-7201. Great guy! You're looking at about $299 for the standard Sidewinder header (ceramic coated) and $200-$300 for the muffler, depending on the model and finish. The fully stainless header is ~$100 more. I've got the 1 5/8" black ceramic coated with a fully polished stainless steel MagnaFlow. It's exhaust art... :agree: :agree:
