Exclamation Two Tone GL??

Does two-tone paint scheme work with a GL car?

My 70 bug is getting painted this week. I'm second guessing my two-tone vision of the car and may go with mono. Here's a SelectaBug rendering of the two paint schemes.

Done decisions: 73late +3" rear and pre67 +2" front fenders, 16" Fuchs, lowered 2.5" front/rear, painted bumpers with impact strips, smoked turn signals, painted running boards, shaved license cover, smoothed deck lid/hood/trim, tinted windows, black window trim.

Color is Porsche Lapis Metallic Blue. Two-tone version has Porsche GT Metallic Silver.

What do you think?

of the two choices, if would go the monotone route. more GL to me. more than one color is fine, but the panel look is mostly cal or resto IMHO.

I'm with Vujade on this one...

Although it is your car and you will drive it every day so if you really want a 2 tone paint job ... get it.

Thanks guys. It strange to have the two-tone thing in my head for so long and change my mind at the last minute, but I'm happy with the decision because I want the car styled for road racing, not surfing. The mono paint scheme will compliment the low, wide, blacked-out, stealthy look I'm going for.

Back from paint in a couple weeks.

I'm all about the mono scheme too. Hopefully it will be together before the next Bug-O-Rama. Keep us updated Bill.
