brake lines: Super v. Std

I have a standard bug with a ball joint front end, and need to use a metal brake line before the rubber line, sort of an adaptor. So I was questioning whether a super beetle brake line kit would work on my standard.

If I remember right this is how the front goes

STD: caliper->rubber->metal->m/c
Super: caliper->metal->rubber->metal->m/c

The only questionable thing was the length of the rubber line between the caliper and the metal lines that lead to the m/c. If they are the same length or not, or at least close enough.

anyone know if they can be interchanged?

Thanks
Rip
