If your not going to rip the engine apart. I would cover al the holes (maybe with covers for "riooleringspijpen" ) and clean it with an steamcleaner. So an big Karcher only than with warm water and soap.
Brakecleaner (remmenreiniger in dutch) and an teathbrush is also verry helpful. Wiebrand
