This is my engine - Type1 1914 running alcohol, 13:1 CR heads are currently 40X35 minor P&P W110 (284) with 1,25 rockers Dual Weber 44 (F3 - 200mains/210air/85idles/250 needles, again alcohol). The engine is strong, but runs out of breath at 6000 (even a bit before). My plan is to step up to a W140 (maybe an FK something) Bump compression to as much as I can, but no more than 14:1 Step up to 42 intake valves (keep the 35,5) Further port the heads, unshrould and 3 angle job. Goal: My goal is around 170hp and 7500rpm QUestions: Should I go with D ports or Oval? What are the advantages and disadvantages? Cam selection? Does that sound ok? Any further suggestions? Thanks, |
