Well, at some point in this cars life the gasket on the bulk head inspection cover plate must have started leaking because, I found some rust inside it! Also found three strange factory holes on the passenger side frame head (see pic) there are none on the drivers side
. These holes didn't help keep water out either. I brushed all the loose rust out and cleaned it out best I could. Had to cut some access points out on the "napoleon hat" to get in there too. The metal is still plenty thick enough though. So, I got out some trusty POR-15 and made some "extended reach" paint brushes, and coated all the rust (the rest of the inside tunnel looks brand new!) It's not the prettiest finish, but it sealed the rust.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
