Hi I have just bought a set of 18" by 7.5 rims with an offset of 45et, and am finding that I am getting rubbing on the strut tower and supension arms, I think you will find the same with a 17" however it wioll rub on the tire not the rim... I think the narrowed front beam is the way to go... If you can afford 18" rims with 18 215 35 tires do it they look the bomb
