Independant coil over struts in alll four corners. If I had a scanner I would show you some diagrams from my manual that I still have. Take a look at the rear suspension also. The whole thing looks like it unbolts from the body. I wish I still had my car so I could take some measurements for you.

This is the best attempt I've seen yet with familiar(in both senses of the word) parts.

I checked out the RX7 and its got the funny top mac strut mount. I know I can make a mount out of it but I was hopin to find a spindle that was more ready to use right from the box. The fireo upright looks pretty good but im not sure. Im gonna have to check out what some others have done. Ill post what I find out if anybody is interested. If you are just post or give me a PM

Before you get too excited about something non-VW, check out typeIV spindles same as 914 porsche I think, or again, the stock ones.

Alright I found a guy thats using some 1st gen MR2 spindles. I really like the way he set it up and I might just steal a few of his ideas.
http://www.newtier.com/graber/mid-en.../IMG_1862.html This guy is using some modified rx7 spindles http://members.cox.net/kimini2003/di...ront%20hub.jpg And these spindles look like a really good option but I dont know where he got em. Im gonna send him an email and ill tell what I find out. His site says they accept ford sierra bearings but he never says what the upright is called http://www.beardmorebros.co.uk/websi...sion_page1.htm Oh BoyGenius all 3 sites have tons of info and pics of all 3 awesome cars. Going through the sites I was really impresses in the quality of the garage built racecars. http://www.beardmorebros.co.uk/index.html http://www.grabercars.com/diarymain.html http://members.cox.net/kimini22/car/ And here is another sweet site with lots of cars with fiero equipment http://www.lambolounge.com/index.asp

Hey Miller,
The one site you found, The Kimini 2.2, is a very good friend of Bob who is working on the design of mine! I should be getting some progress coming along soon as Bob is getting back on my project. Jason

Hey Miller,
I'm not sure you want these for a few reasons. 1) Weight-the spindles and and especially the rotors are very heavy, unsprung weight is definately an issue. 2) Though you can go with a tube chassis and mount the rack low, I think you'll find other problems cropping up with the steering shaft location and getting from there to the rack. I'm not saying it can't be done, but your going to have your hands full with a lot of other stuff without adding that. 3) Cost-check out the neighborhood of price I'll be thinking about by going to 928 International and checking out the used suspension parts section. You'll need the spindles, two sets of adjustment cams, rotors, lower ball joints, and eventually those fat calipers! Let me know. No progress as of late here, but on the rear end I'm coming along nicely. Jason

I looked into the 2nd and 3rd gen rx7 breaks. 4-pison great lookin breaks. I think the rx7 uprights are the winner. Rim choice is a kosei k-1. Should be nice.

Man reading that I REALLY need to get out to the u-pull and check some of em out. IT would also get my pickup points closer to the rim. The VW ones are just to close together for my liking.

Honda accord
The old boring looking Honda Accord is one of the best handling cars around.. double A-arm suspension all round I believe.
It corners very flat. MG
