I think it depends on the roads in your country / region as well. As VW1303 mentions he uses 150 lbs springs, as do a lot of the Australian guys. A lot of the US guys use 80 lbs springs.

If you can ask those around you who run something similar to what you are wanting and see what they use, OR aim for a spring rate similar to those in a region with comparable roads.

It probably also depends on your personal level of comfort

BUT don't go so stiff that your front end bounces over everything... suspension is supposed to allow the wheel to move with the road, not bounce!

Especially on the front, there is very little weight there..
