April 12th is good .. supposed to be +12 deg C. and I'll be driving the Bug.

Bring the rods ! .. where are you taking the oil temp with the DS system ? I have the stock 914 "Taco" plate used for sensing oil temp if any one wants it $20, does not include the VDO temp sender.

Since this is now a DS motor, I'm thinking the temp could be taken in the tank ? or should it be in the path where the oil would be hottest ? Like right after the scavenge stage, before the oil cooler ?
