The '70 would be a better GL in my opinion also. The main thing is, the '70 has an IRS rear suspension already. So, it will handle curves like most GL cars are, curve carving speed freaks.

the 70 definitely, i made the mistake of gl ing a mint 67 and whilst the body was amazing to start with by the time you have replaced the engine wings suspension and interior, wheels, clocks, fuel lines, brakes , more body panels you realize there is nothing left of the original car so would have been better off with a scrap shell to start with

i'd go 70 for all the same reasons.
