Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think they are sequential shifters, just sequential style being so high...

yes rich you are correct , they are semi sequential , on the way up you put in first knock it down for second but when you knock it forward for 3 rd the spring mech shifts accross the gate for you making a very fast short shift , go down the box as normal , these have hardly any travel on the shifts so are very quick

Not taking anything away form that shifter as it is very nice, but my understanding is:
sequential: clutchless/gateless changes, just push the lever back or forwards to change up/down semi-sequential: as above but you have to use the clutch. The GWD is just a high quality, short throw, sprung shifter.. Rich
