I had these wheels (7x15", ET23.3) on my '73 standard bug and they fit front and back with no rubbing. This was on redrilled stock brakes and with stock size wings (fenders). The bug was lowered all round, adjusters up front and 1 spline at the rear.

Got the rear suspension on, still need to order up some ball joints for the front. Gonna need some wide fenders to tuck these wheels.
![]() When I get the front rolling on the porsche wheels, I'll figure out what size fenders I need and start on the body. |

You've had almost a year. How's it going?
Did you get the fronts on? |

i believe the bug is on the back burner, if not the no burner.
he started working at a vw/audi tuner (rs motorsports) so he's going full-on watercooled right now. his cars are pretty sweet, and cheaper in the long run with the deals he can get through work. i'm now doing a 944 swap on my '79 so he can live vicariously through me, and breathe a sigh of relief that he's not doing it anymore! |

I just got a '74 & have a set of PD's.
I was wondering if he followed through & if he had any problems. These aren't attatched, just laid up. If what Trevor said works out for me, I'll be sportin' P-shoes! Godda drop the puppy, too. ![]() Last edited by OldeFahrt; March 22nd 2007 at 15:19. |

he never finished the swap because of the job switch. if those fit they'll look pretty good and i've always liked them. i'm running design 90's but i just got them yesterday, and i'm still in the process of swapping the 944 stuff onto my bug.
post up pics when you get them on! |
