There's a good reason that dash looks so '80s. It was basically the dash of choice for many Mulholland Looks. Many American cars of that era had the wrap-around ****pit concept. It was very me-me-me '80s -- It's my car. I'm driving. Everything is at my disposal and only my disposal. Don't you dare reach around and change the station while Foghat is playing.
The only way I can envision liking it in a German Looker would be if it were going into a one-seater. Even still, everything these days is about pods, not imposing clunky fiberglass. |

personal opinion, but that is what you are asking for...i hate that dash.

Not sure what year dash you are looking to replace, but there are some people over at Superbeetlesonly.com that are doing some fiberglass work with the stock dashes and others incorporating some TIII dash bits too.

I think I saw a car on this site having this dash..you can search it, it's somewhere in the "car shows" topic and if I'm right it is one of the bug-o-rama pics.. it's a yellow/gold bug with a motor in the nose...so not too difficult to find.
