Just because the caliper does not have fluid does not mean the piston is seated. Did you use a disc brake tool or a large C clamp to press the piston back into the housing?

They were completely diassembled (For powder coating) when I put the piston back in. So it slid in and made a thunk when it hit the bottom
Nobody has a set of early 944NA pads kicking around to measure?

Boy do I feel like a doink
The pistons were stopping on the plastilube that was pushed to the bottom. I put the c-clamp on and gave it a couple turns and it dropped to the bottom of the cyl. Oh well live and learn. |
