Its from a Golf I GTi model around '82/'84 or so. I have two of those in the 412 and both were in the bug once...The idea was that the upholstery pattern is most exactly the same as a late Mex beetle's interior, so I used the rear seats of the mex beetle and had a matching interior! Its an old trick I stole from a german guy's GL I saw once on a meeting many moons ago ;-)

i take it you need to customize the brackets/sliders for these seats? or is there a shop that sells them prefabricated for each car/model

If you can weld, even OK, you could cut and fab new mounts using the originals for parts. Use what ever tubing would work best with your slides....JR

About the bracket/sliders... I'm using sparco seats like Bogaro-ZO. My bug is a 1972 super.

Do you cut the original brackets off the floor and fab new ones? Or can you purchase something from Sparco to work with existing brackets? I have purchased their slider rails, but not sure how to get those to fit the brackets.

thanks

Hello everybody! First post here....

I have a '73 Super Beetle and I've just purchased the seats from a 2000 New Beetle. How can I put those seats into my SB?

The new ones are leather and much more comfortable than the original seats.

I need some detailed info on how to do this!

Any info is appreciated! Thanks!!

Why does this post show up as being from me? I didn't post this one and I don't even have a 73 super, I've got a '67 bug... I suspect something's not right with the database on this forum.
