17" 996 carrera wheels on a 72 bug???

fronts will fit fine. I would recommend either a narrowed beam or wider
arches in the front.

the rears may need spacers or 944 brakes to widen track to accommodate
the 8 1/2" wheel. Plus you may need a little bit of a wider arch in the rear.
