Re my question from the other thread i got sick of stock running boards so i removed the rubber mat and colour coded them but im still not happy would look better with the stone gaurds gone but i was thinking CF would probably look more at home do u reckon that CF would work well on them? ![]()

New wheels, they look nice. Putting fake fake CF on anything that is not dead smooth will show up whatever is under it. From a distance CF will look black, why not try painting your running boards black for now and the stone guard as well. Steve

the beetle running boards on the car ecbug pictured look ok on that car with that complete bodykit. but don't think they would look to good on a fairly standard bodied bug. i really like the j sports racer running boards, not to in your face and fuctional. i will have a go myself at making somthing similar, when i've finished getting the car running reliable

hard to see in this pic, but, I sprayed my stock running boards with Line-X:
