Had some fuel issues, the Pierburg pump wouldn't do anything and was working fine when I started restoration.
turned out it had seized from sitting on the shelf for a few years but after some gentle pursuasion (tapping it with a big wreng a few times) it now works fine again. Raised the rear by 1cm again so it fits the look of the front stance.
