What Trans would you use?

I will use for type 1 irs, singleside cover version 75-> with the strongest oem case. It will have quaife for T2 flanges, HD sidecover, 3.78 first, 002 bus coarseteeth 3rd and 4th gears, stock ratios all, with 3.88 r&p. And berg intermediate mount.

Have been e-mailing back and forth with Alex at Bug@5speed about the Porsche transmissions . He has sent me some great material . This is the way I would like to go . From all this , my plan is now to see if I can track down a trashed 914 and steal its trans and engine . I think a matched set would make for less problems when it comes to the install . This all depends on me buying the 65 . I am looking at it next weekend (its about 3 hours away from my home - will look at it , decide , then if it passes , I will most likely drive it home a week later with my wife following me in our truck with a tow cable in case) .
