944 handbrake parts.
Hi guys, this is my first post on here, couldn't find an intro section.
Just a quick question about the porsche 944 handbrake setup. I have a set of alloy arms (same as the ones in 'bug@5speed's' thread) from a 1987 944. When I got them they where bare, no brake parts at all with them. Now I have read loads of threads on here and can see what I need and where it all goes, but where can I get the shoe hardware? by this I mean the retainers, springs and star adjuster assembly. I have found places which sell the calipers, drums and shoes but can't get the little bits ![]() |

I got a handbrake shoe retaining spring from porscheshop, over £10 delivered!!! I suggest you cut your losses and buy another complete pair of arms, it will work out cheaper in the end...

Hmmm, not really an option I'm afraid.
There must be someone making a kit for this, you can get them for every other car in Halfords ffs. It's not like 944's are rare ![]() |

I have used www.944online.com for most of my brake bits. They are in the US though.

I don't know whether there may be a link here but the brake shoes are as near as damn it identical to the '97 BMW 528 rear shoes so it wouldn't surprise me to find that ATE (or whoever) supplied the same kit to Porsche and BMW. the BMW tuff should be less rare.
