Painting/Coating 944 S2 Calipers
I just bought some 944 S2 (same as turbo) four pot Brembo calipers. They are currently black, but the paint/coating is coming away just across the Porsche logo.
I want to get them repainted/recoated, and I was wondering what is the best way to do this? Can you powdercoat them without ruining the seals through heat etc? Is it a special plastic coating process? or just plain ol caliper paint? Also has anyone got any ideas about how you put the Porsche logo back on there? Cheers Steve |

I just cleaned up a set of 944 turbo brembos. I had to strip off the clear with aircraft stripper, then I recoated them with caliper paint using one of the popular paint kits available from ebay and pelican parts. They came out okay, but I wasn't thrilled with the results. Paint is very thick and they give you an epoxy brush to apply it with, had to apply 3 coats. I would have prefered something to spray.
As far as the porsche logo, they have to be replace if they are a decal, again, something I've seen on ebay, sure they are available other places.
