Uh oh, another addict.
A lot of vendors who cater to us don't just cater to us. Some cater to racers. Some cater to other "looks." Some are specialty vendors -- and some of them become surprised to hear from an air-cooled VW owner. And, there are a lot of folks here who do their own one-off stuff. A good place to start is to check out everyone and their rides here. People here are from all over the world. Where you're from will affect which vendors you might choose. When you become focused on a particular upgrade, search it out. All of the sponsors here are worth investigating -- even if they're not in the same country as you. And by all means, feel free to ask any specific questions you want. This site has been tremendously helpful to me. Welcome! |

Spot on advice!
Where are you from? Best bet is to spend time trawling through the galleries and tech articles, save any pictures of cars you like/features you like... Get catalogues from race parts companies and from modern car performance (ie rude boy/pep boy) companies... LOTS of good stuff amoungst the stick on plastic carp! Dont rush into it, you will only end up taking bits off and changing your mind! Cya, Sam C

the advise given so far is dead on. the GermanLook.com sponsors are of course a great place to start. use the vendor announcments section or the banners on the top of the page to look into them. there is also a links section on the main page that can help. i had an extensive list on the old VKG site, but haven't transferred it yet. oh, wait. i didn't remove all of the old pages yet though. you can access the old list here. i eventually will get all of those on this site too.
