Your own, free, machine shop!!
I was browsing around and found this website that will machine any order you make for them with their special cad program. I thought with all the custom jobs being done here, some people that dont have all the necessary equipment may be interested.
http://www.emachineshop.com/ I have not tried them out, but I would be interested to hear from anyone if they have! You can use many different types of materials. |

I tried it; i downloaded the CAD, used it for my design, sent the price request.
YES it is VERY expensive IF you only getting one copy of your design. but if you want more than 10 I think they are VERY competetive (spelling?) I wanted a four piece pedal assembely. it worked out to alittle over $600. I also wanted billet fastners for fuel and oil lines. I need 15 of thoses and they cost ~$8 per item. |

I'm on their site in the customers stuff (personal projects). We had a part done for a balcony rail, wife sat down and figured out the cad and whipped the file out in no time. We had found the inserts elsewhere and they were $250 A PANEL! emachine did it for $130 a panel, We saved about $1200!

Yeah... quantity is a large factor in price for sure.
