IRS race gearbox with Quaiffe ATB diff

Ive got a john maher racing IRS single side plate gearbox for sale. it has got installed a Quaiffe ATB active torque bias differential. it has a brand new NOS crack tested VW german 3.88 ring and pinion. a superbeetle main shaft, new syncros, steel shift forks, welded first and second, close ratio third and fourth, type2 output shafts. ratios 3.88 rp 3.78 1st 2.06 2nd 1.58 3rd 1.12 4th here are the gear ratio caculations for mph with a 195 60 R15 tyre per 1000 revs = 17mph so at 6000rpm your doing 100mph 7000rpm your doing 116mph 8000rpm your doing 133mph with a bigger 'cal look' style tyre on the rear a 205 70 R15 the gearing is taller per 1000 revs = 18mph so at 6000rpm your doing 108mph 7000rpm your doing 126mph 8000rpm your doing 144mph CALCULATIONS TAKEN FROM THE www.johnmaherracing.co.uk gear ratio calculator and tyre diameters taken from the yokohama website. please call me on 07815 288850 im in west london, england. or email me at jimby@hotmail.com. £1300 or very near offer |

Jimby what was done to get type2 output shaft on the gearbox.

Thats a good price. Bad bug, the Quaife comes with the option of either type 1 or type 2 outputs. Steve
