Very cool. :agree:

I have a special color in mind for my next project if I have a next project in the next couple of years. I'm kind of envious of you being at that stage.

That's pretty cool you have a Sports Bug steering wheel, too.

Hi

Good project. The car looked like it was white in the 1st few pictures. If you made it a twin of your vert you could do weddings etc. with both cars.

Im doing a 74 1303 as a daily driver/ sons 1st car.

Steve

Just some super strength paint remover. It was all done by applying with a brush then letting it sit for a few momemts and then scraping it off with a plastic scraper. It made it really really easy. I wouldnt have done it any other way because it was quite the time saver.

If you want a really effective paint stripper at a very low cost you can do what I did.

Go to walmart or your local grocer and get dawn power dissolver. Its in a blue bottle by the dish soap (its to clean gunk off of pots and pans)

Spray it on the paint

wrap it up with saran wrap

let it sit 24-48 hours (not too long or it will dry out and not in cold weather because it wont work)

peel off the saran wrap and the paint just falls off. If you use a pressure washer and/or a scraper it works better.

My car had 5 repaints over the OG color and i was able to do it all. (2 bottles was enough to strip an entire fender)

at $2 a bottle its WAY better than sanding... ill post pics once i get home.
