Jim,
see pic below. It hooks up to a tube that goes to the controller/sensor on the right with the green sticker on top. Not sure what it is for though

Thanks a lot for the pic and the compliment Rob!

Luckilly a guy from the aussies explain me that this solenoid is acquired if i have a subaru charcoal canister which i did not and advice me to block it.

The strange is that the solenoid it was plugged before the rebuild somewhere(i dont know were) but for some reason now it's tapped but the engine runs fine.

Anyway i will ask my engineer!
