Good question. Apart from the space saver 3,5J wheel, I don't think so, but then again, are there tires less then 195mm in 17" ?

Well, on the tire part apparently yes....

Yeah,
The Cayman (pn: 987.362.122.06) Boxster II (pn:987.362.122.05) come with 6.5J+55mm fronts. Lanner |

We mounted some 7,5 inch wide Cayenne wheel under a type3 a had them narrowed at the front by nearly 30mm. Wheel is now 6,4 inch wide and the tyre we mounted is a 165/40x17.

In a search I did on here showed another thread, and it stated they are 26lbs each

They are build for a car (Cayenne) that weights nearly 2400 kg, so 26 lbs for one wheels is not that much
However, the funny thing is that the narrowed wheels needed less lead then the original 7,5inch wide wheels

I'm going to fit Boxster Wheels in my 1974 beetle...
I had a couple at the moment one 7J and one 8.5J and I'd like to fit with adaptor (maybe 1" thick) front and rear What do you recomend for fit under stock fenders? It's better if I look for 3x7J or another couple of 7J and 8.5J? Thanks |

For stock fenders you're going to have the best luck with 7's all around given your choices...the steering box stops will probably need to be adjusted a bit, so that you don't rub.
I'm running 6.5" ET55's with 195/45's and 17mm spacers on the front of my 77 Std Beetle with Ghia spindles/discs and an AVIS adjustable beam, lowered just a little. On back I've run 16x7" ET40's with 225/50's - little or no spacer - stock re-drilled drums. |
