Locked Out
unable to open the bonnet, seems like the pull-cord catch has dropped.
does anyone know how to gain access without damaging the bonnet. cheers

Not as scary as it seems.
I would recommend using a large bung for the rear of the spare wheel well and rigging up a piece of wire for in case of future failure |

Hi
If you move the lever towards the side it will go past its normal stop rest. This is what you need to do with lever to get just a bit more travel that can sometimes pull the cable enough open the bonnet. You pull the lever over so that it can go past its normal stop. Other than that you can cut the bonnet handle to release the lock. I always fit a secondary cable release under the mudguard. Steve PS I had trouble loading this photo, let me know if you cant see it
