Hey Dave,
funny you drag this thread up again as the car sat there for nearly 6 months......but i spent last week on it!!! My work is now done. I welded in a brace for the panard rod mount, welded in a rear strut brace/harness mount. Welded in some seat bars. Fitted flywheel/clutch and custom prop. Raised the tunnel by 4 inches and finished off the bulkhead. Also, rob decided to go with an LS1 inlet manifold, alternator and waterpump.....which drops the throttle body by 4 inches. unfortunately he decided this AFTER we cut a ****ing huuge hole in the bonnet to make a bulge!!! il get some pics up when ive uploaded them!! the car is now heading back to Rob's for him to install the hydro clutch, cooling and fueling system. Then it's time to rock

bit late....but theyre not the most thrilling pics
brace for the panard rod bracket ![]() raising the tunnel by nearly 4 inches! Didn't just want to box it in - wanted to try and make it look as factory as possible ![]() ![]() seat bars going in ![]() rear strut bar/harness mounting bar also welded in ![]() water pump/housing/alternator mount and bottom pulley all changed to allow the shorter inlet manifold. everything will now sit under a stock bonnet - this thing is going to be a real sleeper ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() so thats me done on it...the car is now back with rob....cooling/fueling systen and wiring left....cant wait to see it on the road! |
