One more thing, my bad for stating the obvious about the deck lid not fitting. After I posted it I was like,"hmm, that's not totaly obvious." I'm going to post a suggestion on Volksdent's brake thread next.
The big tradeoff for not hanging down is being top heavy, a couple folks have pointed out my balance may suffer.
WHO'S not going big hp?!? Scored a set of H-beam rods already and watching for a deal on some low-comp slugs for the ends of them.
Be careful over on dents threads, he's kinda picky ...

PJ, don't know if you've seen this chart before...
understand what you're saying, shouldn't matter if they are high angle down or back as long as it was within the safe angle.

Need some more pics! Any progress? Have you got the cooling squared away in the bus? I'm going to need a test drive you know!

Won't be much development on the bug project for a while . I've got a lot of different parts to source before it will move forward any. Right now I have other places around here that the cash has to go towards (you should be able to relate after your recent move )

I finished up a few changes on the bus but haven't had a chance to get out and run it yet. Days at the station have been hot and busy, I think the whole city is starting to spontainiously combust and days at home have been just as bad trying to keep ahead of my lawn business without turning to ash. At least a lot of my customers stuff is getting crunchy, maybe I'll get a break, but that also means less billable hours. When I'm not working, I'm sitting under an a/c vent trying to survive.

I know EXACTLY what you mean! I talked to a bug guy in Arkansas the other day and he had the same complaint about the weather, doesn't sound too fun. Alrighty, well keep us updated, and I'll yet you know as dates finalize for my trip in your direction.

Just back from a 20 mile test run in the bus, outside temp 97, heat index 110. Temps are finally stable!! Stayed at 180 most of the time! I did get a little creep at idle but blip the throttle a little to circulate everything and it cools right down!
Super stoked to finally have a handle on it, so many other little things I want to sort out now that it will run cool. So many half done items and rough mock pieces to re-do.
The only down side is the thing it took to get me here, I had to add another pair of the double NACAs. Now there are two doubles on each side, WAAAYY more ricer bling than I wanted but it was the only thing left to do and it worked.

I think the bus looks more wicked with the two vents on each side! :righton:

Jeff, it's just plain bad a$$, that's all there is to it. I'm not sure how you can extract ricer from bad a$$, so I wouldn't worry! You still have the baddest splitty around.

Ricer? Not even close. I love it! I happy that you finally kicked the heat problem. I have hope now that I'll be able to over come any heat problems.

You are da man! Congrats.

Thanks for the support guys!
I was trying to stay as stealthy as possible with my test mule . I guess its way past that now. No problem on the next project though, it will be purpose built to kick arse!
