Loud front disk barakes
what do you all use for loud disk breaks? I put some lube on the back of the pads, I was told to put someother stuff on the pads them self. Any ideas? I am scaring other drives with the breaks screaming.

Hi temp RTV silicone, like Permatex Copper RTV. It literally glues the pads to the calipers, and provides some cushioning to dampen the slip-stick-slip-stick vibration that causes brake noise.
Apply sparingly. Yetibone

Thanks for your reply. I bought new brakes. The vendor said I need to get new pads. So anyway I got the new pads installed and just as loud. I am so pissed. I will try your suggestion |

Don't forget to grease the pad carrier pins (assuming you're running Ghia style calipers). These can be a source of vibration and noise as well. I've used high temp synthetic grease with great success in the past.
