Bug Jam... you guys shouldve been there!

I think next year everyone should really plan ahead to make it to bug jam.
You have a whole year to do your planning.
It would be nice if we could make a large club showing, instead of just a
few sparse members. It is the biggest show on the east coast you know.
Over 435 cars this year! Not sure about the people count though.

Here is an account of the weekends festivities....
Friday evening:
Brenden & I went to Kips party at Rare & Unique.
There was over 120 aircooled VWs at his shop and close to 1000 raging people.
$10 got you all the beer you could drink and all the BBQ you could eat.

Saturday Morning Thru Afternoon:
Pillow & I went to Bulli Brigade met up with Mikey.
Great Bus show, though it did rain a little.
After the show we all cruised up the highway with 53 busses,
then stopped at the rest area to take a group photo.

Saturday evening:
Shooting the sh*t in the Masters Inn Parking Lot til we got kicked out
around 11:30pm. (there was a dog show that weekend, so people complained about us in the parking lot)
The four of us went over to Comfort Inn and bs'ed with the BK boyz til around 1am.

Sunday-all day
Pillow, Brenden & I went to Bug Jam and cruised the swap meet for
about 3 hours, grabbing up all the deals we could afford.
Met up with Mikey sometime during the day.
Looked at car for the next four hours and probably didnt get to see
them all!!!
Everyone left around 5pm to head home (they were still giving away awards when we left)

Til next year!!! Plan on it!!!

Talking Bug Jam...

I had a blast there this year. The day turned out really nice after a little afternoon shower cooled things down. I got a set of low profile late brake lights for $20 and some eurathane tranny mounts and a bunch of AN fittings for $2 each. Now that I'm all pumped up about working on my car that I just bought some nice 996 front seats. I just couldn't help myself.

Actually I didnt get to take any pics this year, my camera is down at the moment. Dont think Brenden or Pillow did either. Not sure about Mikey though.

I dont want you guys to think that we are rubbing anything in your faces, just trying to get everyone motivated to not let things get in their way of coming next year so that we can have a a full club showing...

Great Show...

I had a blast, Long drive. (13 hours) But it was plenty worth the trip, I bought a deck lid for my Ghia, a deck lid release cable, and a good side shift 915 Tranny. I spent way too much, I had a $0 budget. But I needed 2 syncros for the tranny I'm using so the $50 for this tranny works out.

Great meeting Pillow and Joe, and meeting up with Brendan again. I, myself, will try to come back next year, but I'll be driving alone if I do.

Great event just like last year! The Bulli Brigade and BugJam both rocked!

Vujade got some very good deals! I was very surpirsed on the Westach guages.

Great to finally meet Mikey and Brendon!

I think Vujade and I BSed about GL for 48 hours straight LOL

Hopefully next year more of the VKG crew can come again. It really is THE SHOW on the east coast as far as I am concerned.

Take Care,
