New Project car at the NO-H2O house

Well I have the Black 1302 and the Beater Bug, Ryan has the Red 73 Beetle RS, Joel has the 73 Bus, and my daughter Jordan(Joels twin) wants a VW, She wants a Notch, Ghia or Thing. Just after I talked her into a bug I ran across a Ghia(70) project car for the low low price of,,,,,, Come and get it(But you have to haul another 65 Ghia that is gutted and rusted off with it). So I went to of all places, Cleveland GA. and picked up both cars and drug them home. The 70 will need a rear valance/rear engine apron and at least one lower rear quarter panel but the pan is solid and there dosn't look to be much bad rust other than the left rear quarter, the right rear quarter is dented in and has been plastered with bondo but never finished so I don't know if it will be rusted under all that. It has some surface rust but seemed to be firm. I still need to look it over in some good daylight. But the price was right. One bad thing is that someone put one of those aftermarket sunroofs in it,,,,, you know the kool clear ones that flip up at the back and let he sun shine in on you while you drive around in your leisure suite and listen to the 8 track. At least it looks doesn't look like it has been leaking,,,,,,better not open it.

No pix yet. We are covered with ice now. It took me 15 min to get into my car at work this morning, 1/4 inch of ice on everything, the drive home was interesting and slow. Woke up tonight to more of the same. Called in and took a vacation day.

I think the 67 might end up on the Freecycle page. After I pull the rear apron/valance.
